Route 66 is a racing game in which players play the role of driver in a Cannonball Run from Chicago to Santa Monica, through the historical Route 66. The competition is divided in 8 runs between checkpoint cities, at each of which, players may improve their car, depending on their fame, by exchanging favors with garage owners. Also, at every city, players may go on local races to increase their popularity.
